Duke Valentour: Duke Valentour is an Industrial and Systems Engineer at Ball Aerospace, part of BAE Systems, based in Boulder, Colorado. Now operating as Space & Mission Systems, Ball Aerospace focuses on developing advanced technologies to support space missions in national security, intelligence, and civilian sectors. Duke holds a Commercial Pilot License and is a Certified Flight Instructor. His passion for aviation began early, and he was influenced by his grandfather, who fostered his interest in flying. In his engineering position, Duke examines workflows to evaluate cycle and process times within assembly and fabrication operations. He leads efforts to improve these processes involving Optical Systems in Research and Development, Production, and Depot Programs. His responsibilities include performing root cause analyses to address production challenges and developing sustainable solutions. Duke collaborates closely with production technicians to enhance both processes and product quality. Duke started at Ball Aerospace as an intern in 2020 and was hired full-time thereafter. He was promoted to his current role in 2024.
